2015 Philippines

One week. Seventeen volunteers.
Two thousand lives.

The first Waterdrop volunteer team hit the ground running on a spring 2015 trip to the Philippines.

Seventeen engineers and commercial buildings professionals donned work clothes and hard hats to build water towers at Bugaan Elementary School, which serves 463 students and their families, and Gulod Elementary School, with 498 students and their families. The team also worked closely with the children, educating them on the importance of hand-washing and hygienic use of water. Here’s a look at their week, from the team’s introduction to constructing and installing the two towers to the final handover ceremony with the children.
